Thanks for making us all on the list aware of this.   Add me to the "deeply disturbed" list regarding this ongoing trend of requiring that a library subscribe to or purchase a package of materials they do not want/need and cannot afford in order to get a single

We are seeing this with other types of materials as well --  individual ebooks that can only be acquired as part of large packages, subscription to an online newspaper that requires subscribing to a large package of newspaper titles, films that we can only
 acquire if we buy a package of film titles.   With few exceptions, we will tell the faculty requesters "no, sorry" and explain why, although this can be difficult depending on the title.  I also will tell our vendor reps when this is the reason we are not
 making an acquisition or starting the package subscription.  They should know when they are losing business over this sort of thing.   </div>

 will partner with EBSCO to make select digital publications, including the <i>American Journal of Public Health</i>, available via EBSCO’s industry-leading full-text databases.

 subscriptions for these journals, but the only way to get online will be in an EBSCO database.</span></p>
