The James M. Milne Library at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Discovery & Systems Librarian. Working both independently and with a dynamic team of partners, the Discovery & Systems Librarian improves
and sustains a variety of staff-facing and public-facing library systems to ensure reliable and low-barrier access to the library's collections and resources. The ideal candidate possesses a love of learning, the ability to think critically with a dash of
ingenuity and enjoys learning new technology. The twelve-month, tenure-track librarian reports to the Dean of the Library and holds the rank of Senior Assistant Librarian, with an initial two-year appointment.</div>

The <b>Discovery & Systems Librarian</b> is responsible for managing library systems, including the library services platform (Alma) and discovery layer (Primo VE). Working closely with the Emerging Technology Librarian and Acquisitions and Electronic Resources
Librarian in providing integrated library technology operations and services, the Discovery and Systems Librarian provides leadership in the development and enhancement of staff- and public-facing systems and collaborates to coordinate, assess, and improve
LSP and discovery experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to be flexible in a changing environment. </div>
