We have had a vendor come back to us with an AI statement or clause in a contract (not remembering the vendor off the top of my head) I would say touch base with your dean, director of libraries or university librarian. Thats what we ended up doing to strike
a balance with AI language in contracts. They may have a strategy about how to approach it. Ideally you wouldn't want that kind of restrictive language!  Good luck ðŸ™‚ </div>

<div>Hello,</div>
<div>I have an agreement to sign with Nature/Springer for journals that include AI language that wasn't there last year.  It stipulates what our users cannot do with the information they use from their journals.  I don't have any control over what our students
do with the research they find in our resources, and I don't want any.  </div>
<div>I've asked them to strike that paragraph, but they are pushing back.  </div>

<div>What do you think?  What has your library done about these AI statements in resource agreements?</div>
<div>Thanks for your thoughts,</div>
