Here's what we do at our liberal arts college (not claiming these are "best" practices, though!):</div>

<div class="elementToProof">Our campus has monthly "administrative reports" to faculty - for the library report we include all subscription journal and database cancellations and the reason why and list any new subscriptions or major acquisitions (not every
 individual ebook/book acquisition).  These are posted on the campus internal Gateway and can be reviewed at any time.</div>
</li><li style="font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<div class="elementToProof">We tag new 'database' resources on libguides A-Z list (as someone else mentioned)</div>
</li><li style="font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<div class="elementToProof">Faculty who request a new book and indicate they want notification will get an email it's available.</div>
</li><li style="font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<div class="elementToProof">All new print books go on a "this just in" shelf" before rotating into the stacks, faculty do come in to browse those.  Nearby is a monitor that rotates images highlighting of newer ebook/e-resource acquistions.</div>
</li><li style="font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<div class="elementToProof">If there is a new or cancelled resource likely to be of interest to a specific academic department, we will ask the liaison librarian to message them.</div>
</li><li style="font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<div class="elementToProof">I think that the most important thing we do is keep detailed internal records of who requested new subscription or major resources that we've added and notes on the reasons for any cancellations.  That way if we are ever asked why
 something is cancelled (and sometimes it's years before anyone notices) we can provide the explanation.  Noting the individual who requested something is helpful, as sometimes we're considering cancelling something that only one person wanted, and they may
 have since retired or the curriculum has changed.  (We use Alma, and put these notes on the POLs.)</div>
</li><li style="font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
<div class="elementToProof">We keep an internal "wish list" spreadsheet that includes notes on any database or journal ever requested that we did not acquire, and the reasons for the decision.  We review it regularly and may add things from that list as availability
 or cost changes, money becomes available, etc. </div>

<div class="elementToProof">We have a lot of aggregated subscription ebook and streaming collections that regularly have removals and additions of lots of individual titles.  Time permitting, I will skim removal lists for things that might be concerning, but
 mostly we don't try to do any communications to faculty about these as it's just not practical.  We frequently communicate to faculty that ebook and streaming titles may fluctuate in these packages. </div>

We compile a list from OCLC records manager and copy and paste it into the libguide. I'm more of a visual learner so I added book covers that link to the catalog record and made sure to at alt text. We also have a shared drive where we post the list of new
 resources and we have a springshare blog that we also push out. I know our deans appreciate it but to be honestly we don't have a ton of new subscribers lol :) Hope that's helpful!<br>
