It is a known and acknowledged problem that OpenAthens authentication is not compatible with EndNote. It’s a known issue with lots of discussion in the past. There’s even a long standing enhancement request:</div>

I've read for EndNote is that it doesn't work with OpenAthens authentication links — but I've seen other libraries that have LibGuide instructions that use a Proxy OpenAthens link.</div>
