<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><p><span style="font-size:11pt">The Creative Ideas in Technical Services Interest Group (CITSIG) will host three presentations on Friday, March 8 @ 10 am Central / 11 am Eastern for Core IG Week. </span><span style="font-size:11pt">CITSIG presentations share practical issues and experiences from different vantage points within technical services. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt">Presentations will focus on: </span></p>
<ul>
<li>using the open-source MARC metadata quality assurance tool “QA Catalogue for Analysing Library Data” to assess ebook metadata quality.</li>
<li>creative ways to improve working conditions for technical services operations and practicing self-care.</li>
<li>investigating the use of Homosaurus vocabulary in bibliographic records and analyzing the usage of terms.</li>
</ul>
<p>Our session will include three presentations in succession as follows:</p>
<p><strong>Applications of the QA Catalogue for Analysing Library Data</strong> –David Floyd (Chief Cataloging Librarian, Subject Librarian for Judaic Studies), Sasha Frizzell (Catalog/Metadata Management Librarian), Binghamton University</p>
<p><strong>Practicing Self-care on the Job in Technical Services</strong> – Janetta Waterhouse (Associate Dean for Collections, Discovery, and Information Technology Services), Kansas State University</p>
<p><strong>Homosaurus Usage in the OCLC Database: an Exploratory Analysis</strong> – Paromita Biswas (Continuing Resources Metadata Librarian), Amanda Mack (Cataloger in the Film & Television Archive), and Erica Zhang (Metadata Librarian for Open Access), UCLA</p>
