I'm not sure how to "automate" the process, but in terms of standardizing your categorizations, could you use the Download Data link on the Scimago Journal Rankings site (<a href="https://www.scimagojr.com/journalrank.php">https://www.scimagojr.com/journalrank.php</a>) to obtain a list of ISSNs and categories?
