<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#333333;background:white">This position oversees and administers the development and management of library acquisitions and discovery services. The Resource Acquisition & Discovery (<span class="caps">RAD</span>)
Unit currently includes 3 paraprofessionals and 4 faculty librarians (including the Head).

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#333333;background:white">The <span class="caps">RAD</span> Unit is responsible for identifying, ordering, invoicing, receiving, processing, and cataloging all materials for the Library’s general collections.
This Unit manages most of the Library’s vendor relationships. The position coordinates and manages the library materials budget and several other acquisitions funds to ensure the best use of library funding. The position also actively participates collection
development activities for the Library including serving as chair of the Library faculty’s Collection Development Committee. The <span class="caps">RAD</span> Unit proactively monitors and evaluates resources as part of the continuous improvement process for
collection development. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
