education for academic library workers to better engage with third party
vendors. Throughout the curriculum development process, feedback will be sought
from our colleagues in academic libraries and library science programs about
their experiences with vendors during negotiations. To foster a safe
environment, where attendees can candidly discuss issues and strategies, we are
asking attendees to describe the nature of any current service, consulting, or
advisory work with vendors when registering for events. With the exception of
project partners, we ask that employees from library vendors refrain from
registering for our community forums. We look forward to hearing about the
experiences of our colleagues who serve in capacities that may create a
