The Library of Congress is seeking applicants for the position of Librarian in the U.S. Serials and Government Documents Section. This position is for a librarian to acquire and catalog a variety of materials, particularly serials, electronic resources and
 government documents.  Beyond working with vendors and publishers in the acquisition of serials subscriptions and electronic resources, including negotiating license agreements, this role includes liaising with recommending officials and subject specialists.
 This librarian will assist in the examination of recommendations for acquisition and of incoming shipments, as well as participating in formulating plans for changes and improvements to collection development policies.  As part of this role, the librarian
 will collaborate with management and other staff in planning and implementing team activities including: workflow procedures, team priorities, projects of an experimental nature, goal setting and strategies for meeting team production goals. See announcement
