their data in repositories and supply supporting metadata. Ensuring proper credit is the best way to motivate researchers to do the extra work. Is the scholarly ecosystem ready to take on data citation metrics? </span><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
