We are looking for a collaborative, friendly colleague to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Library’s online presence and providing proactive customer-oriented services to assigned liaison departments and the general

<ul>
<li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Sustains online presence and services, including management of the discovery interface and web site.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Collaborates with Technical Services staff to ensure ongoing access to electronic resources.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Maintains the hosted online digital repository for electronic theses & dissertations, historical collections, and other university publications.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Serves as a liaison to assigned departments as the primary contact and communication link for library and information-related activities.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Assists Library clients either in person, by phone, email, interactive chat, or web conferencing with locating and using discovery tools, databases, other online sources of information, and citation management.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Stays abreast of, and assists in disseminating, developments in search tools/interfaces, data management, scholarly publishing, and copyright, as applicable to the UTMB audience.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Establishes and maintains good working relationships and a professional environment. </span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Represents the Library within the UTMB community and with other librarians. </span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Maintains expertise by participating in relevant conferences, committees, workshops, and seminars.</span></li></ul>

<li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Master’s degree in library science from an American Library Association-accredited library school.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">1-3 years of related experience.</span></li></ul>

<li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Coursework or experience with web publishing, content management best practices/standards, accessibility, and metadata standards.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office products.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Familiarity with SpringShare products (ex. LibGuides and LibAnswers), ExLibris Alma and Primo, DSpace, Sitefinity CMS.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Strong commitment to superior customer service.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in Library technology and services.</span></li><li><span style="margin:0px;font-size:12pt">Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritize and manage tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, professional environment.</span></li></ul>
