To continue our excellence in program and services, the library is seeking an experienced and innovative
<b>Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian</b>. The successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition, access management, and analysis of the library’s electronic and print serials, and government documents collections<u></u><u></u></p>
<p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><u></u><u></u></p>

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Creates, analyzes, enriches, and maintains catalog records for electronic and print serials resources according to national cataloging standards. Revises serials resource records due to changes
in format, title, and/or holdings<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Reviews, manipulates, and revises batches of vendor supplied records to ensure that electronic serials resources are rapidly and adequately described in the library catalog<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Coordinates the processing and shelving of current print issues of journals, magazines, and newspapers<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Processes government documents and monthly Marcive files. Also, identifies and resolves processing, claiming and cataloging problems related to government documents<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Assists in the development of policies, practices, and workflows for electronic and serials resource management. Generates and presents various reports to include: numbers of serial subscriptions,
number of subscriptions by format, user statistics, etc.<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Provides back-up support to the Systems Librarian on Knowledge Base and EZProxy server management, and works with the Systems Librarian to troubleshoot electronic journal access issues, including
link resolver issues<u></u><u></u></span></li></ul>
<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b><u></u><u></u></p>

<li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">ALA accredited MLS/MLIS degree<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Minimum of one year of experience managing electronic resources in an academic library, with focus on electronic serials management<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Experience with EZproxy, open URL, and other electronic resource management software<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Demonstrated understanding of current serials and electronic resource management models, practices, and trends within the academic library environment<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Familiarity with OCLC’s Worldshare Management Services (WMS) ILS preferred<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Ability to accomplish projects with minimal supervision<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Demonstrated experience with standard office software such as Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint<u></u><u></u></span></li><li class="MsoNormal">
