for the library can be important/good (I do it regularly as part of my job), I have to be mindful that any increase in the library budget may in the end get passed on to students in the form of higher tuition and fees.

could take on the cost of providing streaming for students while the library would mediate Kanopy and make sure that those purchases were actually to support curriculum. <o:p></o:p></p>

I can’t blame faculty for not wanting to go through the hassle of getting a DVD player for class and checking out the DVD physically, and making sure it works with your classroom setup. It’s easier to use one’s customary laptop, presumably already rigged up
to a projector or big monitor, and just stream the film from Kanopy. (except for when something goes wrong technically, of course).</span><o:p></o:p></p>

are using this resource, there's also the question of whether or not the library is the clear choice to be paying for this. I'm only aware of Swank and HBO Go that provide campus streaming. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
