<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">It’s often easier to maintain title lists in Holdings Management through the download and upload features than in the web client itself. Packages can be set up using the
<a href="https://help.ebsco.com/interfaces/Full_Text_Finder/Holdings_Management_User_Guide/Uploading_Your_Holdings">
upload tool</a>. When uploads are completed, there is an email notification which also states is there were any problems; if there were, an error file identifying each problem is available for download from Holdings Management.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Once a package is set up, <a href="https://help.ebsco.com/interfaces/Full_Text_Finder/Holdings_Management_User_Guide/Downloading_Your_Holdings">
download the package</a> and save the downloaded file in a spreadsheet. In the future, running vlookup functions to compare the KBIDs of the saved downloaded package and a new download of that same package will reveal any changes made to the titles selected
in that package. Any corrections that need to be made can done by modifying the new download, saving it as a .txt file, and uploading it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">As far as marking packages and titles as OA is concerned, it is possible to
<a href="https://help.ebsco.com/interfaces/Full_Text_Finder/Holdings_Management_User_Guide/Adding_Editing_Assigning_Notes_in_Holdings_Management">
create notes in Holdings Management</a>. The notes will not appear in downloaded title lists but are visible in Holdings Management and Full Text Finder.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Finally, be aware of package types and the “Allow EBSCO To Add New Titles” option. If the package type is complete, all of the titles in the package should be selected. If any titles are selected in a package
with a complete package type, the next time the package is updated, all of the titles in that package will be selected. The “Allow EBSCO To Add New Titles” option is at the bottom of the package details page, and if yes is selected, any new titles EBSCO adds
to the package will be selected.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">We are working through exactly the same issues. We have also been using 360 Link. In our situation, one compounding problem is that we provided a single file of both subscribed and open access holdings, and
EBSCO staff dutifully added our holdings to each of those titles in some package. In addition, many free titles were added to the “Publisher’s Site” package even though they were listed in one of the open access packages, like DOAJ. So much of the blame
is probably on us. So far, we have been unable to get a list of free/open access packages from EBSCO, which makes it difficult to check to see that the settings for those packages are correct, and we are not sending the user to our proxy server.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">We had to go through the “Publisher’s Site” package to make sure the proxy settings were correct for each title. We have examined a few of our bigger packages title by title, starting from a file exported from
Serials Solutions. But with limited staff time available for clean-up, we can’t check everything. At some point soon we will have to stop, and correct errors when they are discovered by staff or patrons.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">You might have some success with exporting holdings from both FTF and 360 Link and comparing them. We’d hoped to be able to use the URL, but found that for many providers, FTF and 360 use different URL structures.
But there might be a way to isolate your paid or free resources in 360 Link and looking for them in FTF based on ISSN.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are implementing EBSCO Full Text Finder (switching from Proquest 360 Link). When I had EBSCO configure my initial holdings I said “yes” to including open access titles. Now
I am finding that having all of those titles activated is making it difficult for me to check for errors in the titles I have activated. There is no way to “flag” a package or title as open-access within FTF. I can probably deal with the complete packages
that are open access, but EBSCO has activated individual titles in packages where I have a specific number of titles for which we have subscriptions, and having those extra titles activated causes confusion.
