this June as part of the American Library Association Annual conference. The
meeting, <b>which is open to everyone</b>,
will be held as a part of the traditional NISO Update on Saturday, June 23,
2018 at 1:00-1:30 pm in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Room 209. This
half-hour discussion about the status of the organizations will be prepended to
the regular NISO Update that takes place at every ALA conference which will run
from 1:30-2:30 pm. We will cover a number of organizational topics, such as
NISO's strategic planning process, organizational finances, and standards
program plans for the coming year. This is also an opportunity for the
membership to provide feedback and have their questions answered about any NISO
topic.<span>  </span><span></span></p>

technical interoperability using RESTful Web service APIs and standard mobile
application intent calls, to establish community, vendor, and developer needs
in transmitting library-related information related to serving licensed
electronic content such as login/authentication, account information,
availability, item status, item check-out, audio/video/online recording
streaming, patron registration with vendor, etc. <span></span></p>

been developing pilot technology to improve the user experience of SAML-based
authentication. The solutions aims to improve the user experience and do so in
a privacy-protecting way. This session will report out the progress of the
pilot technology developments and the movement toward an industry recommended
practice. Two RA21 pilot technologies will be demonstrated and discussions will
also center on how the resulting efforts have been built around the library
community values of protecting privacy.<span></span></p>
