Libraries Resource Development Director. This is a non-tenure clinical track faculty position. Successful candidates will be expected to have engagement in professional service activities, consistent with the Libraries’ and University’s requirements for
promotion.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Reporting to the Dean of the Texas A&M University Libraries through the Associate Dean for Information Resources,
the System Libraries Resource Development Director will provide innovative leadership for system-wide shared initiatives, such as shared resources and professional development opportunities for the Texas A&M University System Library Consortium (TAMU System
Library Consortium). In consultation with TAMU System Libraries, Contracts Administration, and the Office of General Counsel, the System Libraries Resource Development Director reviews and negotiates digital resources licenses to ensure compliance with established
federal and state guidelines, including copyright and accessibility guidelines. Responsibilities include negotiating with vendors, establishing and maintaining effective vendor relations, and maintaining an Electronic Resource Management System for cooperative
agreements. This position also manages the setup and maintenance of access records for existing and new cooperative agreements in the ERM. The person in this position is a member of the TAMU Libraries' Electronic Resources Licensing Team. This person also
recommends and organizes annual professional development training for the librarians and staff of member libraries. This person also prepares official reports for the TAMU System Library Consortium.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
