started showing up as accessible that we had no record of purchasing. They showed up on the title list we downloaded from the admin interface; when we asked our rep about the unexplained access, he repeatedly said that if they were on that list, we should
have access. When we lost access to one of those titles,
eal@wiley.com tech support said they could find no record of payment, and access stayed off, despite submitting that Wiley-generated title list to them. We didn’t bother to fight it, because we couldn’t find payment either. By 2014 or so, the list of mystery
ebooks had grown so long, and Wiley remained so disinterested in tracking down what was happening, that we wound up loading the MARC for these titles to our catalog, but labeling them separately as being of uncertain origin, because we were tired of repeatedly
asking and getting nowhere.

we had perpetual access to already. Y’all, it was missing most of our PA holdings. We’ve been trying to get this fixed ever since, and only just this week have we received word that they think they’ve updated it properly.
