So, we are having a discussion here at UT Chattanooga regarding “affiliate users.” Affiliate users on our campus are typically contractors or visiting scholars. We have audited our license agreement user terms to see what types of users are allowed and we
found that in many cases the license is “silent” in the area of contractors or visiting etc… Some licenses, actually stipulate clearly who is allowed, and some specifically state that they aren’t allowed. All resources except those requiring registration
allow for on-campus walk up access.<o:p class=""></o:p></div>
