This is a full-time (12-month) tenure-track faculty position reporting to the Director of Information Acquisition & Organization.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px">Responsibilities:</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px">This position will play an integral role in the development, implementation, and evolution of strategies and <span class="gmail-il">services</span> for the seamless <span class="gmail-il">discovery</span> of library resources and the continuous improvement of the user experience. As part of the <span class="gmail-il">discovery</span> process, this role is responsible for managing aspects of the life cycle of electronic resources, which can include cataloging/metadata, access, <span class="gmail-il">discovery</span>, assessment, and problem resolution. Since <span class="gmail-il">discovery</span> is a constantly evolving process, this person is also responsible for monitoring trends and best practices in e-resources management, discoverability, and use. This position will work collaboratively to develop and assess efficient workflows for the enhancement of library <span class="gmail-il">discovery</span> <span class="gmail-il">services</span>.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px">The <span class="gmail-il">Discovery</span> <span class="gmail-il">Services</span> Librarian will be assigned a limited number of research assistance duties in order to fully understand user needs. This position will also serve as a liaison to an academic department, providing collection development and limited instructional support for that discipline. As a tenure-track faculty member, the <span class="gmail-il">Discovery</span> <span class="gmail-il">Services</span> Librarian is expected to engage in research and publication as defined by the University Libraries’ promotion and tenure policy.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px">Minimum Qualifications:</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px;line-height:normal">1. One year of cataloging coursework or equivalent combination of coursework and experience</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px;line-height:normal">3. Coursework covering or experience with the life cycle of electronic resources, including related trends and best practices</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px;line-height:normal">4.
