At my library we’ve approached this in the following way, finding that other solutions (including LibGuides) were insufficient in terms of providing A-Z database functionality:

<div class="">- all of our databases metadata is stored in our ERM (CORAL) along with all of the other associated administrative metadata</div>
<div class="">- we use a CORAL add-on called the Public Interface Generator to output just the information we need in XML</div>
<div class="">- we created a script to routinely (every few hours) take that XML output and auto-generate a searchable and browsable A-Z list in our Drupal-powered website</div>

<span style="" class="">We use the Sierra ERM from Innovative Interfaces. It integrates nicely with the rest of our ILS (which is also Sierra from III). We can store license information and display selected fields to the public; we can include title lists for
full-text journal collections; and we can link orders and upload COUNTER JR1s to automatically calculate CPU. The resource records are not set up like traditional bib records but are much more flexible; we have developed a guideline for each field to ensure
consistency. The fields are also fully searchable in the back end of the system. year - the programmer who coded the in-house system was long gone and the library switched to WordPress. We also catalog our databases. We've experimented with hosting a back up database list on Delicious. <o:p class=""></o:p></span></div>
