The eight-week course is designed to build AI literacy and familiarize
attendees with how AI is currently used in scholarly communications, giving
them the confidence needed to assess new tools and make informed decisions.
Running on Thursdays (11:00 am–12:30 pm) from March 26–May 14, it will

The course facilitator, Jessica Miles, is founder of the consultancy The
Informed Frontier, which advises STM organizations on AI’s impact on
knowledge discovery and dissemination. A scientist and longtime publishing
and strategy leader, she has worked with executives and boards on strategic
planning and transformation, and previously led strategy and investments in
AI-powered research and discovery tools at Holtzbrinck. She currently
serves on the Advisory Board of Johns Hopkins University Press.
