Organizational Resilience through Collaboration

Thursdays, June 4–June 25, 11:00 am–12:30 pm
>From research infrastructure to consortia, collaborative models provide
creative solutions to shared challenges, helping to scale capacity and
reduce risk for all stakeholders. This virtual training course will provide
a practical guide to the pros and cons of cross-stakeholder collaboration
and its importance for organizational resilience.
Participants will learn about the importance of establishing shared goals
and values, ensuring effective communications, getting and maintaining
buy-in from the communities being served, and measuring progress. They will
hear from the leaders behind three successful, community-led
collaborations, including Chris Shillum, Executive Director of ORCID,
and Lauren
Kane, CEO at BioOne. These speakers will share key challenges and
opportunities their organizations have faced as well as lessons learned on
their paths to resilience through collaboration. The course is also
interactive, with participants learning through activities and discussion
as well as listening. Alice Meadows, a founder of MoreBrains Cooperative
and now an independent consultant, is the course facilitator.
