[Eril-l] Last chance to participate in AI in Libraries survey and prize draw

Hi all - there are a few days left to complete this survey and enter the prize draw. The responses so far are fascinating (librarians are embracing AI - ChatGPT is the most widely used tool for respondents so far - and generally see it as a net opportunity rather than a threat BUT are concerned about how to preserve critical thinking in a world where users are increasingly moving from “looking for information" to "asking questions and expecting answers”. ) Those who participate can opt in to receive a copy of findings (and can enter a draw for a $350 voucher or charitable donation if preferred).
Please add your voice / perspective before the survey closes at the weekend!

Many thanks and all the best,
Charlie.

Hallo everyone,
I am currently running a survey to explore how libraries and library professionals are engaging with artificial intelligence, including its adoption, impact on services and users, and implications for scholarly information discovery and access. I would really welcome your insights - it will take about 20 minutes and you can enter a prize draw to win a £200 online shopping voucher (or the equivalent in your local currency, where possible*).

You can opt in to receive an export of the survey's findings at the end of the survey, and I will submit to share findings at relevant conferences in due course.
This survey is being led by Kudos and sponsored by Emerald Publishing, Elsevier, Wiley, Springer Nature, IOP Publishing, Silverchair, American Physical Society, Oxford University Press, BMJ Group, IEEE, ProQuest, Cactus, Wolters Kluwer / OVID, De Gruyter Brill and AIP Publishing. (Apologies if you have already received this invitation via one of the other sponsors, or via another discussion list!).
Thank you in advance to anyone who participates!
All the best,
Charlie.
* The prize draw is open to residents of permitted jurisdictions. The survey will remain open for four weeks. Participation is voluntary, and entry into the prize draw is optional. Full prize draw terms and conditions are available via the survey link.
