[Eril-l] Moving OA Forward Focus Session – Introducing ESAC Registry 2.0: expanded scope, greater detail, and enhanced accessibility

Dear colleagues,
The OA2020 Working Group on ESAC Resources Update and Development<https://oa2020.org/working-groups/> is preparing to deliver its first major outcome: in the coming weeks, the ESAC Registry<https://esac-initiative.org/about/transformative-agreements/agreement-registry/> will relaunch with expanded scope, enhanced functionality, and richer, more strategically relevant data.
In this focus session, Jack Hyland, Manager of Irish Research eLibrary (IReL) and lead of the working group's package dedicated to updating the Registry, will present the platform's evolution to better reflect the changing landscape of open access publishing agreements.
The session will include a guided walk-through and live demonstration of entering an agreement into the Registry, highlighting how shared, structured data supports comparability, transparency, and stronger negotiation practices.
Designed for negotiators, consortia leads, and institutions, this session underscores why even partial data contributions meaningfully strengthen collective understanding of the global OA agreement landscape.
