MONTHLY ROUNDTABLE WEBINAR | FREE FOR NISO MEMBERS
The Global Economics and Politics of Knowledge Exchange<https://www.niso.org/events/global-economics-politics-knowledge-exchange>
Wednesday, February 11, 11:00 am–12:00 pm ET(US/Canada)
International knowledge exchange has been on a growth path for decades. In this session, we’ll consider how immigration, international security, trade policy, and research investments are reshaping publishing and scholarly communication. Academic institutions and publishers are facing a complicated policy landscape impacting everything from research collaborations to conference attendance, and from rising print costs to OA publishing.
Speakers: Lisa Janicke Hinchliffe, Professor/Coordinator for Research Professional Development in the University Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Brian O'Leary, Executive Director, BISG; and David Weinreich, Director of Policy and Government Affairs, STM.
Registration is not required for NISO members. Non-members, please register<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/niso-webinar-the-global-economics-of-knowledge-exchange-registration-1978415062710?aff=oddtdtcreator>. The recording will be shared with all registered attendees.
