[Eril-l] Announcement: OA2020 and ESAC become OA Forward

OA Forward has been announced as a new internationally governed initiative that builds on the work of the OA2020 and ESAC initiatives to strengthen global coordination around open access negotiations and advance open scholarly communication. Hosted by DEAL Open Access Services (DEAS) and supported by contributing partners across five continents, OA Forward reflects a broader international partnership of libraries, consortia, funders, and research institutions working to shape more open, equitable, and transparent scholarly publishing.
The initiative builds on nearly a decade of community progress in open access agreements and related infrastructure, while expanding its scope to support shared strategies, stronger alignment, and community-led approaches across the evolving scholarly communication landscape. A dedicated OA Forward website will be launched in the coming months; in the meantime, OA2020 and ESAC resources and activities remain accessible through their existing platforms.
