[Eril-l] Strategies for improving discoverability of ProQuest materials in EDS

It’s not very elegant—and only works at the title level—but to be sure our major dailies and one popular, local paper from ProQuest are surfacing _somehow_ in EDS, I have:

  *   Added the PQ package to Holdings Management so the Publication placard appears
  *   Added Custom placards and Supplemental sources (both at EEM > Configuration > Integrations) that point to the PQ database
     *   Custom placard uses the most popular newspaper titles and abbreviations as match terms https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/Integrating-Custom-Placards-in-the-new-EBSCO-Discovery-Service-user-interface?language=en_US
     *   Supplemental source uses the ProQuest widget iFrame URL to forward the search terms https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/Integrating-Supplemental-Sources?language=en_US

We also have (sort of) branded EDS as our Journal Articles search, excluding newspapers by default with a custom filter and placing a link labeled Newspaper Articles below the search box, which sends the user to a LibGuide about our suite of newspaper resources.

I’m curious, too, what others are doing to bridge the gap

Piggybacking on that.  Does anyone know how to include ProQuest Newspapers or indexing for Newspapers in EDS?  We have MajorDailies from ProQuest but the NYTimes. WSJ and WashPost are not indexed there.
