**Apologies for cross posting**

It’s time to answer the call! Our virtual NISO Plus Global/Online
<http://niso.plus/> conference is happening September 16–17, and you still
have time to help set the agenda. The call for sessions
<https://forms.gle/C27pwtWGMeU3fs7j8> is open through next Friday, June 20,
so whether you have an idea for addressing a challenge facing the
information community, or just want to bring people together to brainstorm
solutions, submit your proposal soon!

Now more than ever, it’s important to remind ourselves that we’re part of a
community, and the conference offers a timely opportunity to connect with
colleagues, share insights on thriving in a rapidly evolving landscape, and
propose new ideas for addressing a variety of challenges. The virtual
platform enables participants to collaborate with professionals from across
the information community and around the world to address the most pressing
issues in scholarly communications. Each session will include time
dedicated to q&a and discussion, and this year, presentations will be
hosted live wherever possible, allowing for even greater interactivity. As
with all NISO Plus conferences, ideas emerging from the meeting will help
to shape discussions about future NISO standards and projects.

We welcome proposals on hot topics for our community that encourage
audience participation during the discussion period. Broad topics of
interest include (but aren't limited to)

   -

AI (licensing, emerging use cases, and ethics) and emerging technologies
   -

   Accessibility
   -

Building community during challenging and uncertain times
   -

   Cybersecurity
   -

   Global perspectives
   -

   Multilingualism in scholarly communications
   -

   Research integrity
   -

Open research and its supporting infrastructure
   -

   PIDs and metadata

Don’t worry if your proposal doesn’t fit into any of these categories—we
are open to a wide range of ideas!

Note that we strongly encourage proposals that reflect a variety of
perspectives—geographical, organizational, functional, etc.—and that
acknowledge and address DEIA challenges and opportunities. We recommend
that your proposal includes either confirmed speakers or examples of who
you plan to invite to speak.

Remember to submit your proposal <https://forms.gle/C27pwtWGMeU3fs7j8>
by Friday,
June 20! All submissions will be reviewed by the NISO Plus 2025 Planning
Committee <https://niso.plus/niso-plus-2025-2026-planning-committee/>, and
we will inform everyone of their decisions by July 8, 2025. We look forward
to hearing from you!

Best wishes,

The NISO Team
