Ours doesn't, but it seriously encourages use of Microsoft products, and we're told that eventually we'll have to move out of Google Docs entirely. I think the problem is that the cost for the university to host all the data with Google is quite expensive, and they have this other deal with Microsoft that includes all that data hosting in it.

Swarthmore College is a Google campus - we use both Chrome and the Google Suite of Apps. While I haven't verified I am going to guess Swarthmore pays for enhanced security.



Is there a reason your IT department prohibits it?
