Below is information about upcoming vendor-specific negotiation discussions hosted by SPARC. We had a lot of great feedback from the last discussion on Elsevier’s ClinicalKey and many attendees requested we have one for McGraw Hill, so we’ve scheduled that for August 21st. You do not need to be a SPARC member to participate. To ensure folks are able to speak as candidly as possible, these sessions are not recorded.

Next month, we'll host another round of vendor-specific negotiation discussions, starting with calls on Springer Nature, Elsevier, and McGraw Hill (with a focus on the latter's health sciences-related products). More details below!

These discussions are designed to reduce the information asymmetries between vendors and libraries, learn from common challenges in negotiations, and provide support for libraries in making the best decisions for their own institutional contexts. Libraries at any stage of the negotiation process with these vendors are welcome to join these conversations.
