We’re excited to announce our Access Lab 2025 program<https://www.openathens.net/access-lab/access-lab-program/> is now live! Our industry-leading event takes place online, 24 – 27 February 2025.

Access Lab brings together industry leaders, innovators, and thought leaders for an insightful and engaging program. The online event will run over several days and in multiple time zones so that as many of its global audience can join. You can also access the content in different languages<https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0062475> in the Zoom platform.

Whether you are a librarian, publisher, or researcher, Access Lab gives you the opportunity to join the OpenAthens global community to share knowledge, challenges and updates from across the industry.

OpenAthens turns 30 this year and to celebrate we’ve included several customer case studies in the program and a birthday quiz! Heidi Fraser-Krauss, CEO of our parent company Jisc, will also recount our key achievements in empowering and supporting our customers through the decades and celebrate their success.

Hylke Koers, chief information officer at STM Solution is this year’s opening keynote speaker. His presentation ‘The future of trust, access and identity in scholarly communications’ draws on key findings from a recent STM draft report ‘Trusted Identity in Academic Publishing<https://stm-assoc.org/new-stm-report-trusted-identity-in-academic-publishing/>’.

Other topics covered in the program include: security, trust and user privacy, research integrity, artificial intelligence, user experience.

We will announce the winner of our 2025 UX Awards<https://www.openathens.net/publishers/ux-award/> on the last day of the conference.
