scholarly content? Our in-depth training series on *Accessibility
Essentials* will help participants to meet regulatory requirements and
ensure inclusivity across publishing and communication platforms. Discounts

April 3–May 22, 2025

This training series will empower attendees with actionable insights and
practical guidance on accessibility compliance for professionals in the
information community. Attendees will come away with an operational
understanding of what it means to engage in accessible publishing and
methods to ensure their organizations are prepared to achieve accessibility
compliance. The course will cover upcoming regulatory changes;
accessibility standards and best practices; and human-centered web design.
>From production to public relations, Accessibility Essentials will be an
invaluable resource for information practitioners, content or product
development experts, and scholarly communications professionals.

Event Sessions

Each session in the series will address a key question:


   -

   What is inclusive publishing, and why do we care about accessibility?
   -

   What are the legal ramifications for nonaccessible content, services,
   and other programs?
   -

   How do we establish an inclusive publishing program?
   -

   How do we establish an inclusive design program?
   -

   How do we implement accessible web designs?
   -

   How do we implement inclusive content production?
   -

   How do we retrofit backlist titles and remediate existing products?
   -

   What is our inclusive publishing strategy going forward?


Recordings of each session will be made available to course registrants
within two business days of the close of the specific session.

Training Facilitator: Lettie Conrad, Product Experience Architect for
LibLynx, Instructor at San José State University’s School of Information,
and Scholarly Kitchen “Chef.”
