COUNTER currently has three best practice consultations open:

   - Consultation: Pathways to Compliance

   steps that non-compliant publishers could take to make their usage
   reporting easier to access and more valuable to report consumers
   - Consultation: Reporting to Multiple Institutional Identities
   <https://www.countermetrics.org/consultation-multi-id/> - ways that
   publishers could manage usage reporting where users are linked to multiple
   institutional identities
   - Consultation: AI metrics
   <https://www.countermetrics.org/ai-consultation/> - mechanisms for
   reporting generative and agentic artificial intelligence usage

We want to make sure that our guidelines and approaches work for as many
people as possible, so we really want to hear from you. Whether you are a
technology provider, a publisher, a librarian or a consortium manager,
please send us your feedback! And please do share with others in your
organisations.

Our current consultations will be open until 09.00 GMT on Monday 9 February
2026.
