**Apologies for cross posting**

Our virtual NISO Plus Global/Online
<https://niso.plus/niso-plus-2025-global-online/> conference (September
16–17) is rapidly approaching! Cross one more thing off your to-do list and
register now to join librarians, publishers, tech providers, and other
professionals from around the world as they take on the big challenges
facing the information community.

The conference program <https://nisoplusglobalonline.cadmore.media/Home>
covers a wide range of hot and emerging topics of interest in scholarly
communications. Here are just some of our meeting highlights:

   -

Session presentations covering agentic AI, publisher and AI
partnerships, new tools for open research and research integrity,
cybersecurity, accessibility, new ways to think about and manage metadata,
   and more.
   -

Thought-provoking keynotes, including Dr. Mark Aldridge's
   <https://niso.plus/2025/06/dr-mark-aldridge-to-deliver-opening-keynote-at-niso-plus-global-online/>’
“BBC Maestro's Agatha Christie Course: Combining Traditional Scholarship
   and AI
   <https://nisoplusglobalonline.cadmore.media/Session/1bb1bda8-fd0a-4e44-a797-232e307d45a4>”
   and Nancy S. Kirkpatrick

“Hope Is a Strategy: Leading Together in the Age of AI.”
   -

Two update sessions from NISO working groups sharing the latest news
about information standards and recommended practices currently under
development, including the Open Access Business Processes Recommended
Practice, the latest revision of KBART, and more.

In the tradition of NISO Plus, each session will also feature time
dedicated to discussion and brainstorming, giving participants an
opportunity to interact with speakers and generate ideas. Past conferences
have led to NISO standards initiatives and projects, so this is a great
venue for identifying shared problems and exploring solutions!
