Wendy will assume this new organization-wide position once her current position of Director of Project MUSE<https://t.e2ma.net/click/dc9tyl/1akos12/dgsr0tb> at Hopkins Press has been filled.
“Wendy’s extensive experience, visionary leadership, and commitment to innovation make her exceptionally well suited for this dynamic new role,” said Barbara Kline Pope<https://t.e2ma.net/click/dc9tyl/1akos12/t8sr0tb>, Executive Director of Hopkins Press.
Wendy has risen through the ranks at Project MUSE since she joined the humanities and social sciences aggregator in 2000. As Director for the past 9 years, she has demonstrated her ability to oversee complex digital initiatives that balance strategic objectives with operational needs. Under her guidance, Project MUSE has greatly expanded its reach, now supporting more than 400 university presses and scholarly societies and 2,500 libraries and their patrons worldwide. She has been instrumental in transforming Project MUSE’s infrastructure to support Open Access content and has implemented numerous innovations to enhance the platform’s offerings.
Wendy Queen expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am honored to take on the role of Chief Transformation Officer. Building on my passion and experience at Project MUSE, I look forward to working alongside our outstanding teams to inspire meaningful change. This role provides an exciting opportunity to advance innovative models and digital solutions that support scholars, libraries, and communities around the world.”
In her new role as CTO, Wendy will lead the Hopkins Press innovation strategy and transformation efforts, working closely with stakeholders across the scholarly communications landscape to ensure that, in alignment with the Hopkins Press vision, knowledge enriches the life of every person.
