Hello!
Does anyone find the inclusion of page counts in vendor descriptions of
(mostly) primary source databases in any way useful? I've just asked for
the details about a primary source collection - and gotten back page
counts.
Number of issues included in a journal run = helpful
Accurate date coverage = extremely helpful
Number of pages = ??
Page counts are helpful when a digitization project is getting started,
because the companies that digitize stuff usually charge by the page. How
is that number helpful after the digitization is over, though?
Thanks and best intentions,
Laura
