--Please excuse cross-posting.—

Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate in a survey seeking to examine how
librarians use third-party Generative AI tools to aid their daily
professional tasks. Your input will help deepen the understanding of
effective applications of Generative AI in assisting librarians’ daily work
and help design related training and education for librarians and library
school students.

The survey is completely anonymous and no identifying information will be
collected. It will take about 8-10 minutes to complete the survey. The
survey study has been approved by San Jose State University IRB. Your
participation in this study is completely voluntary. You can refuse to
participate in the entire survey or any part of the survey without any
negative effect on your relations with San Jose State University. You also
have the right to skip any question you do not wish to answer.

To thank you for participating in the study, a copy of the survey results
will be sent to all interested participants.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Dr. Lili Luo at
lili.luo at sjsu.edu.

Please follow the link below to proceed to the survey:

Your completion of the survey indicates your willingness to participate.

Please feel free to forward the survey to other colleagues who have
experience in using Generative AI.

The survey will be available from Mar 26 to April 15. Again, your input
will be very valuable and we’d greatly appreciate it if you can complete
the survey and help us learn more about librarians' adoption of Generative
AI.

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Lili Luo, Ph.D.
