We used to use Opera’s VPN for this, but ran into trouble with it a few years ago. Now we use the free version of ProtonVPN. It works a treat.

We use the free VPN built into the Opera browser to test.

If you have a cell phone disconnected from wi-fi, that will work. If it can serve as a hotspot for your desktop, then so much the better. Babi Hammond Digital Experience Consultant Colorado State Library On Tue, Dec 17, 2024 at 12: 55 PM Electronic

Hi all,

We are looking for a solution to mimic being off-campus to test our electronic resources. I currently do this by using a VPN that I pay for myself, which is not ideal. How do other folks do this? Do you use a VPN? If so, is there a specific VPN vendor you’d recommend?

Thanks!
Denis
