The Associate Director is responsible for the development of the evolving vision and direction of the functions and services specifically related to the Collection Management and Discovery division. Responsibility of this area’s portfolio includes Collection Development and Strategies, Discovery Systems and Metadata, and Special and Digital Collections. The Associate Director also provides inclusive leadership through decision-making for library-wide planning, personnel decisions, budget allocation, resource management, organizational effectiveness, program and policy development, as part of the library’s Library Cabinet, and in collaboration with the Department Heads group.

Auraria Library is Located in downtown Denver, Colorado, the Auraria Campus is home to three institutions of higher education – University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver – both MSU and CCD are Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI), and CU Denver is finalizing its HSI designation. CU Denver is also an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI). The Auraria Library serves the campus’ over 35,000 students, the majority of whom are from the first-generation in their family to enroll in higher education.

This is a hybrid (partly remote and partly in-person) position.
