ALA Core Role of Professional Librarians in Technical Services Interest Group (RPLTS IG) is looking for two volunteers to serve a two-year term as Co Vice-Chairs (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024) and Co-Chairs (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025).

The Core Role of the Professional Librarian in Technical Services Interest Group provides a forum to discuss common issues surrounding the role of professional librarians in technical services and professional activities such as training, project management, research, assessment, supervision, or hiring in the technical services area of academic research libraries.

As a Co Vice-Chair, you will assist with the planning and delivery of the Group's meetings, including solicitation for speakers and selection of topics to be presented. As Co-Chair, you will assume full responsibility for planning the meetings, filing reports to ALA, and selecting incoming Co Vice-Chairs.

ALA Core membership is required. Attendance at ALA Annual Conferences is desirable and highly encouraged for the one year Co Vice-Chair term and required for the one year Co-Chair commitment.
No prior experience is necessary.
Please submit your name and a brief statement of interest to the current Co Vice-Chairs Alayne Mundt (mundt at american.edu<mailto:mundt at american.edu>) and Greg Ferguson (greg.ferguson at nyu.edu<mailto:greg.ferguson at nyu.edu>). Applications will be accepted up until May 12.
