Greetings,
I am researching which cloud storage providers are in use by smaller
libraries/archives. We had a major hard drive failure for our archival
collections and are looking to see what cloud vendors folks are using to
manage off-site data backups. We'd like to know our options outside of the
big names in enterprise storage (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Specifically, we are wondering if there are any affordable cloud storage
providers specific to the library/archives space. Our ITS department is
stretched thin so we'd like options that are being offered by
traditional library vendors to take some of the burden off of their
shoulders.
I'm aware of LYRASIS DuraCloud. Are there any others that you've tried and
are satisfied with using? Or do you use one of the big three directly
without a third party vendor?
I tried to search the listserv archives but received an error message, so
apologies for asking something that might have been discussed previously!
Thanks,
Alli
