[Eril-l] New Oxford English Dictionary site now live ~4890383

Hi all,

We’re in a similar position as others where I’ve confirmed with OCLC that we have the latest stanza in place and our actual access seems to be fine (i.e. not hitting any paywalls), but the proxy information is stripped from the URL as soon as we resolve to OED.

I contacted OUP support yesterday to report this and to let them know that not seeing the proxy info is confusing for us and our users. I received the following in response: "The project team has let me know this is expected behavior after the fix but I can let them know that institutions would like to see the proxy information remain which is quite understandable.”

Based on that response, I’d encourage anyone else who is in support of retaining the proxy prefix in the URL to contact OUP support to indicate that.
