Texas Woman’s University Libraries is seeking 2 dynamic professionals to join our Collection Management and Resource Services Department on our Denton Campus. One position is a permanent full-time position and the other is a one year full-time assignment.


LIBRARIAN CATALOG & METADATA SERVICES: ($4,000.00 per month) (Résumé and Cover Letter Required) Job Code: IRC43872

Department:  Libraries
Education: Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution, or its equivalent. NACO certification preferred.
Experience: Two years of experience in related library service area or closely related field preferred. Experience with ExLibris Alma/Primo preferred.
Duties: Performs professional librarian work as a cataloger within the TWU Libraries. Work involves knowledge of current electronic, computer and other library technological systems (including hardware and software), knowledge of and ability to apply professional cataloging practices and standards, and project management. Work is performed under general supervision with a high degree of self-motivation and individual initiative and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system in accordance with the University Policies and Procedures and is based on the accomplishment of defined objectives and the effectiveness of the assigned library functions.
