Project MUSE is pleased to welcome over 90 journals that have transferred for 2022 from JSTOR's former journals hosting program. 48 of these journals were already on the MUSE platform and in the MUSE Journal Collections, and 40 additional journals launched in early January in MUSE's Hosted Journals Program (not available in Collections).
Single title institutional subscriptions and access to individuals are now in the process of moving from JSTOR to MUSE for all of these journals by the end of this month. See more information below.
Project MUSE has also added 4 journals to the Premium Collection, including one of the journals migrating from JSTOR.
Additions to Premium Collection Now Available
* AJS Review - Moved to University of Pennsylvania Press from Cambridge University Press.
* Classical Journal - Now published by Johns Hopkins University Press, formerly in JSTOR hosting program.
* CUSP - Johns Hopkins University Press, to launch later in the year.
* Journal of Black Sexuality and Relationships - University of Nebraska Press, has moved from MUSE's hosting program to the Premium Collection.
New Hosted Journals Now Available - Not Part of JSTOR Migration, Not in MUSE Collections
* German Yearbook of Contemporary History - University of Nebraska Press, formerly published by De Gruyter
* Home Front Studies - University of Nebraska Press
* Southern California Quarterly - Historical Society of Southern California, formerly published by University of California Press, to launch later in the year.
JSTOR Journal Migration and Grace Period
Publishers migrating from the JSTOR Hosting Program to the Project MUSE platform have kept their journal hosting content available on JSTOR through the end of February in order to ensure adequate time for a smooth transition.
Project MUSE anticipates that all orders and renewals submitted by February 25 will be processed before the JSTOR grace period ends on February 28. If your library or agent have already sent orders or renewals, it is not necessary to send claims at this time and in fact may slow the process down. Please check your access on March 1 and let us know then if you are experiencing any issues: jrnlcirc at jh.edu.
You can view all journals launched thus far in 2022 here: https://about.muse.jhu.edu/librarians/journal-title-upgrades. Journals that are part of MUSE collections are noted by an "X" in the appropriate column. Journals with no "X" are offered only as a single title subscription.
Read more about Project MUSE's single title subscriptions here: https://about.muse.jhu.edu/librarians/journal-single-titles/. Read about single titles offered in the 2022 Premium Package here: https://about.muse.jhu.edu/librarians/journals-premium-plus/. Please direct questions regarding single title subscriptions on Project MUSE to jrnlcirc at jh.edu.
Sincerely,
The Project MUSE Team
