Electronic Resources Management Specialist

Description: Performs complex tasks with specialized and technical knowledge to create and maintain accurate data and resolve problems for the control of electronic resources within library systems. Performs complex and specialized technical duties within a library setting to ensure library users have access to electronic resources. Understands the relationship, roles, and impact of electronic resource management and its workflows to library as a whole. Assumes principal responsibility for managing database metadata in the suite of electronic resources management tools used by the Libraries. Troubleshoots and investigates denial of access problems for databases that come through the LibAnswers "AskTech" ticketing system or through direct communication. Supports accessibility through systematic evaluation of online research databases under consideration for acquisition. Provides general e-resource management support Keeps abreast of new developments and trends affecting electronic resources management by attending meetings, programs, workshops, monitoring listservs, etc.
Qualifications: Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of relevant education/experience. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and expertise in one or more areas of information resources and services such as electronic resources management. Requires three years of library experience or advanced subject expertise to obtain a specialized knowledge of library systems.
Salary: $57,512 - $62,000
