Core webinar: Zotero: Teaching and Supporting in Libraries
Date: Wednesday, October 27, 2021
All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon
Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.
Description: Zotero is a free, open source program for saving and sharing
citations and creating bibliographies. It’s easy enough for undergrads to
learn quickly, but powerful enough for faculty research needs. In this
session, learn how to use Zotero and discuss best practices for supporting
and teaching it in libraries.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of the webinar attendees will be able to:

Install and save citations and create bibliographies with Zotero.

Use Zotero to create shared libraries of references for collaborative
work.

Discuss supporting and teaching Zotero in the library environment.
Who should attend?
Academic librarians and others who are likely to advise on creating
bibliographies.
Presenter:
Jason Puckett is Online Learning Librarian and Associate Professor at
Georgia State University Library in Atlanta, Georgia. Puckett has an MLIS
from Florida State University and is the author of the ACRL books Modern
Pathfinders: Creating Better Research Guides and Zotero: A Guide for
Librarians, Researchers & Educators.
