A smart phone works if you don't need to do in-depth testing.  Just make sure it isn't connected to your campus Wifi network.

We are looking at new solutions for testing/troubleshooting off-campus access to e-resources. Our team of 6-ish folks were previously using a mix of remote desktop and VPN setups or the Opera Browser VPN,  but we are in the market for something more stable. If you have a great setup or product to recommend for this task, we would love to hear about it!
