[Eril-l] Solution for testing off-campus access

Our IP addresses are not static on campus so we cannot use an IncludeIP range consistetly. We cannot use VPN either so Opera is out. Aside from that, enable Option RequireAuthenticate https://help.oclc.org/Library_Management/EZproxy/Configure_resources/Option_RequireAuthenticate?sl=en and then set your auth option via https://login.ezproxy.yourdomain.edu/auth.
If I really need to test in full though, I would use 4G on my cell phone.

If you use EZproxy and have static IPs for your PCs, you can set EZproxy to treat specific IP addresses as though they are off campus by adding a few IncludeIP lines in your config.txt.

Example directives:
## Include connections from Athena's and Ask a Librarian PCs
# Athena
I 132.170.184.188
I 10.173.184.188
# Ask a Librarian
I 132.170.186.117
I 10.171.186.117

We use a hotspot-this is convenient, inexpensive, and very effective.

Hello all,

We are looking at new solutions for testing/troubleshooting off-campus access to e-resources. Our team of 6-ish folks were previously using a mix of remote desktop and VPN setups or the Opera Browser VPN, but we are in the market for something more stable. If you have a great setup or product to recommend for this task, we would love to hear about it!
