Is anyone else concerned about user privacy in their information seeking as our vendors connect up with this Google service?

Hello,

First off, many thanks to the people who reached out on the list or directly to pass along information they had collected or found online, as well as those with suggestions for the type of information they would like to see available. Special thanks to Dom Benson and Lisa Gonzalez for the resources they passed along.

Since there does not appear to be a particularly comprehensive list available at this time, I’ve compiled a Google Sheet with all of the providers that I currently know to have implemented CASA or Universal CASA. The URL to access the list is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M1AGJAtduMiN5X2oeqgPA-za0mwr7ftOkLNd2HqYJTk/edit?usp=sharing It is currently set up to be editable by anyone, so please feel free to add or update if you have new information.

I’ve split the Sheet into 3 tabs:

1. Providers with CASA Implementation: The list of providers with links out to their CASA information page as well as the length of their CASA token, whether or not they have implemented Universal CASA, and any other relevant notes.

2. Notes about provider list: clarifies how token expiration times and Universal CASA implementation status were determined.

3. CASA General Information: These were notes I put together when I was initially investigating various elements of CASA. Since I was sharing the Sheet widely, I wanted to make sure that anyone who ended up with it would have sufficient context regarding what CASA is.

Hopefully this will prove useful to others as well.

Thank you,

Hello,

I’ve tried to search the ERIL-L archives to see if this information has already been posted, but unfortunately I keep getting search errors. So apologies if I’m bringing up a topic that’s already been discussed.

Has anyone created a list of providers who have implemented Google Scholar CASA (Campus Activated Subscriber Access)? I’ve been compiling a list for myself, and wanted to find out if something similar already existed. I’d be happy to share the information I’ve already gathered if there isn’t already a known list compiled/shared out in the world that I’ve just missed in my searching.

Thank you,
